No. That is a very basic analog / conventional scanner with 30 year old outdated technology. No 800 MHz, no digital, and no trunking.

I was wondering about that myself. Looked at one at the local RS awhile back, didn't buy because I thought it was still too much for that kind of scanner...but it appeared to have a PC/IF port on the back? If not for software programming, what is this port for? Google doesn't seem to know.
According to the manual (searchable online) it's to update the firmware via PC.
That said, I have the earlier iteration, the BC345CRS and as far as I know there's never been a firmware update available or needed.
I use it to monitor NYPD and the Fire Department when I'm up there. It's perfect for that as they've mostly stayed with analog conventional.
