Count me as another who would like to see the used frequency displayed while monitoring a trunk talkgroup. When I'm running three or four radios side by side I like to be able to glance at the used frequency. I know the control channel frequencies for each system, so when I see a different freq displayed I know that radio is currently active. It's a visual queue that helps me differentiate conversations when several are going on simultaneously.

The Siren App will display the active voice frequency when a P25 TRS system transmission is received.

+1 -- I said this months ago and got nothing but question about why I needed it...

Doesn't do me any good on a app that doesn't yet exist (Android) and I shouldn't need all of that just to see data (the control channel or voice frequency) that the radio already has readily available (since it can provide it for the app....).

I also like to know what control channel frequency it has locked onto, a feature that the 996 series has always had (and continues to have on the P2).

Maybe if we got rid of the date and time and did a little rearranging up top. The clock feature on these radios is quickly going the way of suicide doors in the 60's. Even if I did have a real use for the clock, the last place I'd be looking to see the current time is my scanner when my watch, desktop computer, and cell phone all tell me the same information.

Not sure if this is the answer, but have you tried the various display modes?
