Please consider reviewing the RadioReference wikis for these scanners:

There are dozens of threads that discuss simulcast issues with non-SDS scanners. Consider reviewing these threads as well.

I have both the TRX-1 and TRX-2 but they are not my go to scanners.
I also will not give $700 for a scanner that was $499 when it was introduced and has not changed from its original release.
As posted 100's of times THEY DO NOT TRUNKTRACK!
They only scan voice channels LIKE THE BCD160DN and BCD260DN.
You are paying for DMR Trunking and NXDN Trunking.

You are all over the place. Stop cross-posting. You're on moderation for now, take the night off and think about something other than scanners for a while.

Short answer is yea and no. It will decode it yea but then there's that pesky simulcast distortion. That being said it all depends on your location to the various sites at the time you're trying to receive them. Given you're asking about a hand held I can only assume you're going to be moving around with it so again no, may not work for simulcast.

For hand held simulcast listening the SDS100 is what you're to likely need. Other than a subscriber radio the other option is a Unication pager for the simulcast system but they're a totally different animal.

As posted many times again that is searchable here. If the system is busy and your TG you are listening to unkeys they could move to the next conversation, and you miss out.
There have been people ask how to fix that. Answer buy a Uniden.

It works like this using TRX scanners: Some trunked systems force their users to the control channel as soon as they let go of their transmit button. Other systems stays on the same voice channel during their whole conversation. When a TRX scanner notice that that a call have left a voice channel it will start to scan all voice channels in search for that TG during the TG delay time that have been set in the scanner.

I believe it took a TRX scanner something like 180ms to decode and check what TG's that are in use on that frequency. For P25-II and DMR it will be two slots and two conversations on each frequency. If there are 10 active conversations on 5 different frequencies on a site it will take 1 sec to check those voice channels, in theory. Frequencies with no conversations will be checked at 25ms per frequency.

Hi. I live in Finland and i byu UBCD260DN. Exaclty UBCD. All free progrmas like Uniden own SS software won't reqonize that scanner becouse all software only support BCD260DN version. What that U letter means and is there any free software to program scanner? And why Uniden SS won't support U model? I now use 30days free version of ARC260. But i like to know is there ANY FREE software? Thanks

The UBCD260DN is the EU version of the BCD260DN which is a model for the USA and Canada. The only available programming software for the UBCD260DN (EU model) is indeed ARC260 from Butel and unfortunately this software is not free of bugs…..

ProScan supports several UBC models as well as the E models of SDS scanners, so he can probably also support UBCDN.
It's usually only the step size that differs in the bandplan and that the scanner identify itself differently. Send him an email.

I Noticed that my 260DN won't receive nothing at 68-70Mhz? My hand radio works well. I have discone antenna at balcony but nothing? I connect my hand radio to balcony antenna and it's receiving well. Antenna RX is 25 to 1300Mhz so it should be fine but why my 260 is deaf?

That's where TV channel 4 should be. You should only get static or wideband digital noise. Generally, TV channels would be blocked, as they're usually not useful on a scanner.
