Hi all, when my scanner is on with batteries installled and USB connected, I'm noticing that the battery level is a little higher than what it is without the USB plugged in. Also, when I'm prompted to charge, I always select "no". So what I'm wondering is whether or not the scanner is pulling any power from the batteries at all with USB connected?

Thanks for any thoughts,
Pete De Vasto

If I am using a USB cable to power the scanner I do not have the batteries in. I use a battery charger for the batteries.

The battery level indicator should be called « DC level » :

when the radio is connected to an outside DC source, the battery indicator shows what’s entering the radio thru this connexion. As soon as you unplug, it then shows the *battery* level.

‘Hope this clarify things !
