The Uniden offices are/were/will be moving and the servers were down last week and were scheduled to be down 6/1 to 6/3. They may be offline currently.

With the new firmware upgrade people are saying on the 996/325P2 scanners the audio is "better", now would this mean its "louder" or just "clearer".....

On my 325P2 & 996P2, I think the digital NAC frequencies are much clearer

Are the servers still down? I am still having an issue and getting the same error message. I downloaded and installed 1.07.09 when it was released to both my 996P2 and my 325P2 with no issues at all. Now I can't update either one.

Ron, I find the pplain P25/P25II to sound clearer. It may be louder, but its clearer to me. Starcom sounds good on it.

With FW Ver 1.08.01 my receiver POPS worse than my SDS200.
Have to use isolation transformer, using in earphone jack with amplified computer speakers otherwise audio has to much base and is difficult
to hear some peoples voices.

About 10 seconds into the update I lost power to my BCD996P2. Now its just a blank screen and the serial connects but the update software hangs trying to update the firmware. Is there a lower level firmware programmer available?
