So far UASD seems to be very helpful in setting up all my frequencies/TGs/etc in anticipation of receiving my radio later this week. I'm still trying to wrap my brain around the quick-key concept, but I'm sure I'll get it.

The one comment I have is this: The program comes up in windowed format, with a default size that is much smaller than a typical modern PC's screen. When one maximizes the UASD program, the data entry/viewing portions of the program still remain constrained to the same area as when the program was in windowed format. Would it be possible to consider, for a later update of the software, to draw the right-hand pane of the window (the one with Scanner View/Data Base in the default application, and the similar windows in the system editor, etc.) to use more real estate if the user maximizes the program?

Most of the time I am running on a laptop with a 1440x900 screen; the balance of the remainder I'm using a desktop with a 1600x1200 screen. I could be fitting a lot more data in my 'field of view' if the program didn't constrain it to what I think is about 800x600. :)

I'm using 800 x 600 which is the best my old laptop will do. The program shouldn't be changed to the point that 800 x 600 is no longer usable.

Which settings do you mean? Is there an option within the program to change the size of the data area?

Don't get me wrong, I am not implying that it should be larger by default. I'm saying the data area should resize itself based upon the size of the window. If you're at 800x600, it should use what's available, same as if you're at 1600x1200 - rather than still only using 800x600, or a quarter of available screen space at that resolution.

Yep, we are in agreement. Just wanted to make sure there was no misunderstanding that might cause an undesirable program change.

Considering how the program is written, resizing the window won't give you more rows in the grid, it'll make each row (and the text in it) larger.

But you're right - it would be nice if the grid were larger, and resizing the program made more lines of grid visible.

(It's a semantic difference, but doing it exactly how you said it wouldn't give you what you wanted. I'm in nit-picking mode.)
