Hoping that someone may be able to point me in the right direction . . .
I’m trying to get my BCD396XT programmed and didn’t run into any issues when working with local systems that include EDACS, conventional and P25 trunking, but then I got into setting up what appears to be single channel P25 systems (mostly fed frequencies) it's a little different story.
In looking at the RR database of federal frequencies, along with several other sources that list federal channels, I found these factors:
• Quite a number will show a frequency both and a NFM and a P25. I suspect that this could be from transitioning from the conventional to P25
• Saw a couple cases where there were different NAC and/or DPL codes listed for the same frequency. Does a DPL or NAC need to be entered or is there a ‘search’ or ‘auto’ feature. What are the proper settings in System, Site, Group?
Perhaps someone has already set this in either ARC-XT or FreeScan, and if I looked at your file/profile/etc. this might help in getting my 396XT properly set.
Thanks
Bill
