BCD436: Hold During Discovery Mode?

Does anyone know if there is a way to hold on a frequency when using conventional frequency Discovery on the 436? I don't see anything in the manual. I'm talking about permanently holding, not for a few seconds using the delay settings. Thanks.

Thanks, but that doesn't work for me in Conventional Discovery mode, which is basically an upper/lower frequency limit search.

I heard you can't listen to the audio in discovery mode. Is this true?
