Is there any news on a replacement keypad for the Uniden BCD436HP scanner.

I've been after one for about 3yrs and have had no success anywhere.

Uniden have keypads listed on their website but out of stock for the last 3yrs at least.

Extremely frustrating to have this expensive scanner keypad rub out in a very short time, and no spares anywhere.

The three white buttons on the bottom of mine are all rubbed out. Why aren't replacement keypads available? That's ridiculous.

I have no idea why. Same bottom three white buttons for me are rubbed out.

Even the BCD325P2 model released AFTER the 436HP has replacement keypads via third party suppliers; although, nothing from Uniden .

As aussies say when asking a question and receiving no answers, is "ask a question and all you hear are crickets or a pin drop".

Unfortunately UPMan has not provided a response or solution to date.
Was hoping someone may know if third party supplier was, or know of someone working with 3D printing.

Contact Uniden Support in US Of A. Recently they help me with UBCD 126 keypads. Got great service from very friendly team. Caviet, you need USA credit Card and USA address to send the goods to !! Happened I have a Postal address in Oregon and managed for friend to pay for the goods.
Pay Pay would be quicker option. I think they gear up to deal only with US based customers

Sorry, guys. Apparently an internal part # changed, so our inventory system did not correctly report that we had any to sell on the web. We've got plenty and our web should reflect that the part is available for sale later today.

The best way to make key pads last longer is to make sure your hands are clean, free of any chemicals, natural skin oil, food grease, and abrasives such as what you can pick up on your skin from normal daily activity. Also when possible, hold the radio with one hand while pressing keys with your other hand straight on and not harder than necessary. When you're hold a scanner with on hand and attempting to press the keys with that same hand there is a natural tendency to press them harder and with somewhat of a swipe motion. Following the above suggestions I have never worn out a keypad or even had any show the slightest signs of use. I realize for many considering your occupations and environments it may be impossible to do this.

I have many radios from 1990's, early 2000's, and never had a keypad issue like the 436HP.

It could in fact be a less durable keypad. Or maybe with age (yours) not the radio, you're body chemistry could have changed and increased the level of acid in your system that eventually will affect things you touch. That's why some people who handle a polished blue steel gun can leave a permanent finger print. Real silverware will tarnish when the touch it also. In any evet my suggestions will help any keypad last longer, calculators, computer keyboards, telephone keypads, TV remotes etc.
