BCD436HP programming help

I have an SDS100 that works well on the SDPD 700Mhz system.
I am helping a friend setup his BCD436HP. I exported my favorite list from the SDS100 and imported it into a favorite list on the BCD436HP.
I am busy scanning the list bit the radio appears to be totally deaf (with the exception of CHP) on the SDPD channels at the same time my SDS100 is hearing them all.
Is there a setting that needs to be changed to get the BCD to wake up?

Check the Service Types to make sure the applicable types are enabled.

Sounds like a textbook case of simulcast distortion to me. Well discussed here on the forums. It's expected that the SDS100 will outperform the 436HP on simulcast systems such as San Diego 700

OK thanks. I have loaded the 800mhz system which is working fine. I have left the 700 active in case it works better from my friends location.
