BCD436HP Scanning

Hi All, I received my radio today, and have been reading up and trying to make it work. I succeeded in using Sentinel to program a bunch of Favorite Lists. When I turn the radio on, the data base and the favorites load, but I cannot get the radio to scan the favorites. It just scans the database with some of the channels I have no interest in. What am I doing wrong, or not doing? Monitor and download are turned on.
Does anyone else believe that the manual leaves a lot to be desired?

Sorry, I stand corrected! I see that the radio is indeed scanning both the Full Database as well as the favorites. My question is now, how do I lock out all the full data base channels and just scan the Favorites?

The best thing to do is go thru all the menu lists and submenus in the scanner itself. You can't hurt anything. If you get stuck, just push the menu button on the side and it will back out of it for you. I think that is a good way to get intimate with the software on the scanner.
