BCD536 repair.......

I sent my 536 to Uniden. Got it back..All it says on paper is Battery Modification,
D415 D416 D417 D418

What is this modification ?? I sent it for the display backlight fix..Was this included in the repair ?
I though it was a light problem the radios had that needed fixed.. Help Please .Anyone know ??

The 4 numbers are the led lights they changed.

GSTRUGS.. thanks .appreciate your response. What problem did they have with the battery ? I wasn't aware of that issue.. I'm glad they fixed it LOL

Turn around time was really fast. A little over a week.. I'm still very happy with Uniden. I was using my Hp1 while 536 was gone. WOW what a difference in receive the 536 has over the Hp1 Night and day difference and improvement over the HP1.

Batteries were defective and wouldn't keep the time.

Whenever a 536 scanner is sent in to Uniden, they'll do the display upgrade and the Real Time Clock battery upgrade as a matter of routine. This is even if the scanner is sent in for some other issue.

The original Real Time Clock batteries would only do so many charge cycles before they failed and time would not be kept accurately.

It only makes sense to avoid return trips to the repair center. Fix it once and be done with it.
