I picked up one with no SD card installed. Tried a card I had and went through the CLEAR DATA and still nothing on the card. My computer knows its there, but it shows an ESN of 00000000000. If you've got advice I would love to hear it.

thanks...

Here are the Restore Options for the 536HP

Reformatting the Micro SD Card
SD cards should only be formatted using the special SD Card Formatter. Cards up to 32GB are supported. After formatting, the scanner may not be automatically detected (since it is wiped clean), so you may need to uncheck "Hide empty drives" in (Windows 7) Tools>Folder Options>View before doing the next "Clear User Data" step. Then, you need to "Clear User Data" and check "Display all drives" using Sentinel to restore all files and directories to the card. You will also need to "Write to Scanner" in the "Scanner" menu to restore your Favorites Lists.

The ESN won't be written to the card until the card boots up in the scanner. Format the card first with this utility (recommended by Uniden):

Be sure you are using the latest version (v2.02.01) of the BCDx36HP Sentinel software with the Green icon.... NOT the HomePatrol Sentinel with the orange icon.

Then use the "clear user data" function in Sentinel, and check the "display all drives" box in the clear user data window.
