New member here. I've gotten out my BCD536, and upgraded the firmware and database. I'm trying to relearn how it operates.
How do I stop Search With Scan? I just want it to scan. This seems like an easy question, but, even after searching the Internet I'm stumped.
Background: We are going on a cross country trip in our motorhome in a few months. I've got it all set up for the scanner, DIN sleeve mount in the dash below the Pioneer entertainment center. External speaker. Eave mounted antenna on an amateur motorized mount, controlled from a switch on the dash., Serial GPS with splitter to feed both the scanner and Kenwood D710 for APRS. The GPS works and lights the GPS indicator on the scanner display, and on the D710.
What I want to do is GPS location scan selected service types with a specified range as we travel, and camp overnight. The services I want are selected. Some services in the list like Racing Teams and Racing officials, and all of the Custom ones are ---ed out and I can't select On or Off.
I just can't figure out how to stop Search With Scan and just scan.
Thanks!
