My unit was manufactured in 2021 or later, as it has the letter C and not Z
Then that is outside the range where many of these scanners had issues. That, of course, does not guarantee that the components in your scanner could not fail, only that parts were changed in the build process, from what was used in the earliest units, so that this type issue would no longer be epidemic in all of these radios.

I tried adjusting the time zone setting, Alabama would be -6.0 correct? It’s weird, so when I turn off DST, clock advances an hour. If I put it the time zone +6.0, the time will stay normal until I turn it off and back on. Another thing is when I enter the time and back out of the menu, the time changes maybe by an hour.

So an update on this issue- I have left it on more than the 50 hour time frame, Have it set -6.0 for the time zone (Alabama) and dst is off. When I turn the unit off and back on, the time is incorrect, but the date is correct. Should I be using a different time zone setting?

The time zone setting are only used if you connect a GPS as that will set the clock. Set it to +0 and DST off and see if it works when you power off and on and don't connect any GPS. When you turn DST on and off if just change the clock 1 hour back or forward if it is in summer time and should change that automatically for you in a couple of weeks when you go from summer to winter time. In winter time DST shouldn't matter.
