The best thing you can do is get the sentinel software and program it yourself. The departments will be in Sentinel (hopefully) and just put in what you want. To be honest I received the least amount of things I wanted anywhere I traveled using zip code scanning.

If your master db in Sentinel is updated, and pushed to the scanner, and all service types of interest enabled, you should receive the same traffic. When I travel, I only have police and fire types enabled and get more than enough to listen to.

The zip code scanning experience can be shoddy, especially if you don't have the latest database d/l'ed via Uniden Sentinel. Best thing to do if these are agencies you intend on monitoring frequently would be to program them into a favorites list. This can be done easily via Sentinel

All of Coffee County, the Sheriff, Manchester PD/FD, and Tullahoma PD/FD, along with EMS, is now on the Tennessee Advanced Communications Network (TACN). The database here on Radio Reference, under TACN and "TN-Coffee Co.-Public Safety" lists the talk group numbers for these departments, such as 48307 for Tullahoma PD and 48309 for Tullahoma Fire. The reason you are picking up these other counties is because they are still on analog and are not on TACN, for right now that is. Since I don't have a Uniden scanner, I'm not sure how you could program your new scanner to receive these transmissions, but maybe some others on this forum can help.

Yep had so much I didn't get what I wanted so I learned to program it. "more than enough" is accurate. Too many sites in trunking areas, and too much "stuff" that I didn't want to hear. I'll stick with programming for the most part, thanks.

This, 100% this. The OP was pretty specific in his scanning wants, load that up in a favorites list and he'll be good to go!

First thing is have you updated the 536 DATABASE and FIRMWARE with Sentinel?
Yes i installed sentinel and it updated the firmware but said database already up-to-date

If the range is set to 1 mile or even less, you will only have the sites within range. I use gps with full database all the time and its deluxe for traveling.

Can you post a screenshot of lower left of Sentinel? Like this?

I use other devices mobile pre-programmed while mobile that have less issues with simulcast than the 536 does. I have on occasion used it to find other things to program in. Thanks for the tips however, my 536 serves mostly analog or P-25 Conventional these days but should I use it out and about again, I'll try your settings. If I was caught somewhere in a pinch and my Unications's weren't programmed, I'd definitely give that a go.

No the database in your scanner is 6 years old
Did you even watch the Video I posted for you?
It tells you how to update FIRMWARE and DATABASE.
My best advise to you is watch the video and learn how to use your scanner.

The TACN "site" used for Coffee Co., Manchester, and Tullahoma, is the Hippie Town Farm Road site in Grundy County.
The control frequencies listed in the RR Database are 771.25625 and 771.63125.

Thanks for the tips

I use a combo of programmed fav lists and full database whenever I travel. Programmed lists for my area and NYC (have to go thru to get off Long Island) and a programmed list for where I am going so I am all set when I get there. I set those all to Location On and leave them enabled

On day of travel just plug in gps, set low range (1 mile or less) and enable full database ensuring only service types of interest are enabled.

To fine tune it more, one can go into full db in Sentinel and avoid anything of non interest. I really don't care about collages, taxi's commission or other depts that use Law service types. All those systems get set to avoid.

To go a step further, with @ProScan one can modify the full db and basically block dmr, provoice or nxdn so if one does not have all the upgrades the scanner discards those.
