Ok sorry for all the questions.

Now with the product registration.

One thing says: Date of Purchase. Well I never bought this scanner, a friend of mine did and I don’t remember the date. So how would I fill this part out, just put in any date or.

Next it says state of purchase. Same for this I don’t remember where.

Next: Place of purchase. I think it was EBay but not sure.

These are the ones with a star that you need to fill in.

So how does that work for these if I don’t remember the info for what they are asking

Let me know

Just put in whatever you wish here, not sure why they ask for all this info to begin with...

I believe you register your scanner so you have the information you would need to get warranty service. (You probably would also need a copy of the receipt.) That is available for scanners like the BC125AT that don't have paid upgrades.

That has no bearing on getting the upgrades ... the key information for that is the serial number and ESN. Put in your best guesses for those other fields.

Ok sounds good thanks will just put in my best guess. And oh k yah if it’s for warranty service that might explain.

Just when I saw this I wasn’t sure what to do and thought how does that work if I never bought the scanner and I got it from a friend and don’t know the exact answers to those questions.

So have to put those answers in anyways just using my best guess and yah the important info is the serial number and ESN.

When I do this will let you know how it goes.

Thanks

Hello. I have one question seeing if anyone on here can answer for me.

I have a BCD996P2 scanner and I don’t have the NXDN Upgrade on it, so just seeing if anyone on here can tell me how I would go and do that, like on the scanner what info I need from my scanner and if I need to call someone and what number that would be. Never did this before. The friend I got this scanner from a long time ago, never activated the NXDN only DMR, since NXDN wasn’t used that much then.

So if anyone can let me know, that would be appreciated, thanks
Register the scanner on MY UNIDEN pay the FEE they charge for the upgrade KEY, enter the key and away you go.

Yup I already registered it, now when I am ready will pay the fee it shows for it, then I will enter the key I am sent and then I should be good to go, will have both main systems on my scanner to monitor stuff along with NXDN.

Now I am having an issue with paying for it. I am from Canada.

I entered everything in.

But for Billing address do I just put my Box Number or my street address as well.

Never did this before.

And for Billing Zip, here in Canada we have a Postal Code. So do I enter in our postal code or leave it blank since we don’t use a Zip Code here in Canada.

And after I entered everything in, it says: Your order was unable to be processed

The address verification check on your credit card has failed. Please be sure your billing address matches the address that your credit card was issued to.

So I dunno

And does all the info have to be in Caps just the way it is on the card or not case sensitive.

Let me know what I might be doing wrong or if anyone else has had this issue

Thanks

You should not have to use 'all caps'.

Make sure that the address you are entering when trying to purchase the key exactly matches how your address appears on your credit card billings. So if your card billings use your street address, use that. The same goes for your postal code. Use however it appears on your bills.

Ok didn’t think that would be an issue using all caps for the name just like it’s shown on the card.

And yah I entered the address in exactly as it’s shown on the billing statement. The Box number followed by our street address and entered in everything else what was needed and tried it a couple times and still the same.

So I dunno.

Would be nice if they excepted PayPal, since that is what I use to pay for stuff like on EBay and no issues with that. But unfortunately they don’t have that as an option.

I sent them an email and they replied back after I told them the issue and they gave me a case # and said they would look into it and get back to me. So will see.

Otherwise I will be out of luck in getting it.

If no luck with Uniden accepting your credit card, you can try Scanner Master. They will charge $75 for the NXDN upgrade as opposed to $50 from Uniden, and they also accept PayPal. After you fill out the form with your info, they will purchase the key from Uniden and email it to you. Check the info on this page:

Ok thanks. I will wait and see when they message me back again to see what they have to say after they looked into my issue and if no luck then will try scanner master.

And I guess you need to have a account setup on scanner master before you can add it to your cart to purchase it or.

And never dealt with that site before. So if it comes to it and I get it from them, I guess you get the key not too long after you purchase it just like other people on here said you would get it from the Uniden site and no issues.

Ok I just purchased it from scannermaster.com.

So they will email me with the KEY ID to enter in.

That is how it works and they should email it not too long after.
