I have been trying to import "Conventional" from my Freescan program but I can't login to Radio Reference? It keeps giving me a mismatch message like password isn't correct? I can login and download "Trunking" systems with no problem using my password account to my subscription?

I haven't used FreeSacn in a while, but I do remember it didn't use https for the authentication with the RadioReference API. I wonder if it is possible that is no longer allowed?

I know it's weird it will login with no issues to the trunking side but not the conventional side?

Someone else posted the same thing in another thread (but it got deleted due to off topic) . That's strange as the conventional and trunking is using the same URL. I tried Freescan and was able to log in to the RR Conventional and import systems.

If you are trying to use FreeSCAN version 2.19, it will not import conventional channels. That version was created by another member, trying to update version 2.18, which was the last 'official' version before the author abandoned the software.

Version 2.18-beta6 does work for conventional, as well as analog & P25 trunked systems, but does not correctly handle DMR, nor NXDN at all.

I tried it on 2.19 frescan here on conventional for my county, no issues all imported perfectly, including fine on Clare county.
Just be sure to login exactly, check your login, passwords.

Not sure what has changed, other than I moved my laptop to Windows 10, but just downloaded & tried version 2.19-beta1, and it did import conventional. When I tried it previously (maybe it was 'just' version 2.19, no beta notation, when that version came out a couple of years ago), it would import trunked but not conventional. When it was giving an error (previously), I verified correct login was used. I'm not going to lose sleep over it. Still does not treat DMR systems correctly, so I simply use ProScan.

Hey thanks for the info. I need to update to the new version of software. Is Proscan free or subscription?

Proscan is not free, free trial period I think though. Unless you want to use DMR, your completely fine with Freescan.
Did you get it fixed up? Able to login with the correct username and password?
