BCD325P2/BCD996P2: BCD996P2 With Pro96Com?

Sorry to beat a dead horse here, I searched and the answers were not satisfying. I want to purchase a P2 to use with Pro96Com solely for monitoring a control channel (yes i know - overkill) Will the P2 work? I see that the 996XT works but not sure about the P2. Currently I have a Pro96, Pro2096, and Grecom PSR-500 along with a cushcraft 4-element yagi and the performance is subpar. I'm attempting to monitor a few sites on the Austin GATRRS system and i'm familiar with simulcast distortion. If my sds100/200 would output CC data I wouldn't be typing this

Watching this thread. Wondered the same thing myself.
I have been using an SDR paired with Unitrunker the past few months. Does the same as Pro96com.

Yes, the 996P2 model has the same control channel output setting that the XT models have. It also allows you to select the front or rear port for the CC Output.
I use several 996P2 models with Pro96com for this purpose only and they work fine. The 996P2 also has a P25 Threshold setting that can be set to a manual level. I find this helps greatly with some simulcast issues. This setting is radio wide though but that's not a problem if using the 996P2 to monitor a control channel using Pro96com. Select the same model in Pro96com that you used with your 996XT.

Thank you gentleman! I have an SDR here and tried SDR Trunk once but didn't have any success. Maybe i'll give it another look. I need a control channel program for dummies, or better yet one for people like me that CRS

Might try Unitrunker instead.
I also, tried SDR trunk and didn't like it.
