I am so lost. how do you delete all those preprogrammed systems?????

thanks for any help

Turn radio on.

Press "MENU"
Select "Program System", press "E/Yes"
Use scroll knob to select the system, press "E/Yes"
Turn scroll knob to select "Delete System". Press "E/Yes", then "E/Yes" again to confirm.

Do this for each system you want to delete.

You can also use the ARC-15 software from Butel and get rid of them that way. I cannot vouch for Uniden's UASD software, but would assume you could also get rid of the pre-programmed stuff with it as well.

thanks for the help. I thought that would be only way to do it but i wasn't sure, i was hoping there was a "select all" type of option to do it but i guess not. Thanks again.

One more thing, on my BCT15 the group quick keys don't show up unless i push the fuction botton in. On the BCD996T they are on all the time like the system quick keys. Is this right?

thanks

That is right. On the BCT-15, the bottom row normally shows the preset state-by-state scanning status indicators.

You can also delete all systems by doing a full scanner reset. Or, as several have mentioned, you can delete all systems using the free UASD software provided with the scanner (by download from Uniden's site) or Butel software (not free, but which also allows direct import from this site's database).
