• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

I have a Pro-2054 which shares the same case and general layout of the 2055, and I assume the same great speaker.

Comparing the two, I'd say the BCT15 has a little more treble and the Pro-2054 a little more bass.

Used to have a BC780 - I'd say the audio isn't as good as found on the BCT15 or the Pro-2054.

The BCT-15 speaker is rated at 2.6W.
The Pro-2054 speaker is rated at 1.5W.

Overall I'd say the BCT-15 is right behind the Pro-2054 in quality, and both scanners are plenty loud enough.
