• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

Hey guys...i was wondering if anybody knows what would cause a certain ch. to have much less sound then another. I have a pro2096 scanning the same channel/freq and it's very loud but when my BCT15 stops on the channel you can barely hear it. All the settings are the same as other channels programmed into my BCT15 and they are all very loud. I don't know what would cause this seeing though on the 2096 this same ch. is very loud so I know it's not just that one freq.

Attenuation wouldn't matter. But, it is possible you have the channel set to FM when it should be set to NFM (this would make the audio quieter than it should be).
