I see the 10 and 16+, but not sure which way it's supposed to read (Radio Shack Part # 272-1436)

Looks like a 10 uF, 16 V Tantalum cap. The "longer" lead is the "+" side.

(EDIT: if you put it in backwards, you'll know as soon as you apply power to the circuit - depending on the potential across the leads).

Sounds good. And next, solder the positive and negative wires to the mono jack?

Run your ground wire from the ground on your “jack” to one of the mounting screws on your board to ground it…and your wire coming off the “resistor” to the mono jack.

In the end you should have two leads running off the jack...one to "Ground" and one to the spot you soldered to the board/Cap/Res!

Alright, everything seems to be in place. Hooked the audio cable to the laptop. Shouldn't the audio from the control channel be coming through the laptop now?

What i would do...and what i did do...to test my setup was to take a speaker and hook it up to the setup you just put together. If you did it correctly you should hear the control channel assuming you have tuned to it of course! ;) If nothing comes out of the speaker then you have gone wrong somewhere along the line and would recheck !

Hi.

Which solution is the best and why?

First? Second? Third? The number of the picture is a number of solution.

Best Regards.
