It's probably OPP. I have a few unknown OPPs for Midland and whatever is north of Tay. I don't have the capability to use DSD+ or any SDR software to determine patches. Your best bet is to listen to a full unit number then check the page for the OPP Soft IDs.

I appreciate your diligence in monitoring and reporting. Not everyone comes forward with their findings.

Thanks

I'm gonna look at that UID and see where it's been.

Steve:

What did you hear regarding this radio? There have been a lot of out of region/county/detachment cars helping the situation in Caledonia. I have heard cars from as far away as North Bay calling in to talkgroups, OPP Wide, for example, on their way in and out of Caledonia.

Are you able to monitor stuff from Caledonia on the towers you get from Fort Erie?

Just picked up the call sign 1-HOTEL on tg-17360
The only towers I listen to are Fonthill and Skylon.

I've always seen patches with the OPP in the 172xx range.. not sure what this could be.. same with 180xx range.. a few tg's but always encrypted so again no idea.

TG=9616 - CHARLIE 1-11

Fits nicely in between this group:

9600258D1PC LPSLondon Police Service Patch Interop Interagency/Common/Mutual Aid
963225aD1PC PRPSPeel Regional Police Service Patch Interop Interagency/Common/Mutual Aid
964825bD1PC TPSToronto Police Service Patch Interop Interagency/Common/Mutual Aid
966425cD1PC WRPSWaterloo Regional Police Service Patch Interop Interagency/Common/Mutual Aid
968025dD1PC WPSWindsor Police Service Patch Interop Interagency/Common/Mutual Aid
969625eD1PC YRPSYork Regional PD Patch Interop Interagency/Common/Mutual Aid

Charlie may be Burlington OPP. Perhaps you found a Halton PS Patch with OPP?

The Charlie unit could be IIRC a central Burlington car, they used to divide the city into zones as in an echo car would be east end, a November car would be a north end burlington car and maybe Halton police are referred to as in Burlington is Zone 1 for Halton, Zoned 2 is Oakville,

Normally I stay up late and on Friday morning between 3-4 AM Hamilton and the OPP do radio tests on patched calls where Hamilton police cars talk to the OPP and vice versa. Halton would do the same. Burlington and Hamilton fire also run patches between the 2 agencies on active call and on tests.

But in both occasions the RIDS of 30397 and 30398 are used. Its not an error as I have run both scenerios using unitrunker numerous times.
