Does anyone have any ideas about making a SDS 100 mount using the belt clip?

With the aluminum one I made to attach to the vent on my Rav4, I can mount the scanner with or without the belt clip.
While I have not purchased a mount for my SDS100 from Lido, I have purchased some items from them for my ham gear and have been pleased with their offerings.

Purchased one 1 year ago and I am pleased with it. Uses belt clip or clip mount just rotate mount

I thought about getting one but I've only had my scanner in the vehicle a few times. I guess if I had a cup holder and a cell phone case that would mount to it, I would always make use of it for something and I would have it on hand if I should ever decide to take the scanner with me.

I've seen spring loaded belt clips can open a bit when one sits as the radio jabs one in the ribs. Then when standing and walking, the radio comes off. I think a pistol lanyard is handy for a radio. Well built. Radio can't hit the floor. Fall under the mower. Land in the highway. Drop in the toilet. A lanyard can snag a door knob.

I seen one last week when browsing that was like a loop made of canvas or some other material that you hook the belt clip to. Kinda reminded me of a dog collar.

Be careful using the Plastic Belt Clip Hanger Mine disintegrated. I replaced it with the metal hanger from my old BCD396.Then the screw stripped out the back case. I was able to cut new threads in the plastic for a #6 machine screw.
