miccom dispatched 500 series unit numbers - can respond countywide.

Are you sure it's a "new service"? MICCOM ambulances have been around for awhile.

Yes. "MICCOM" doesn't "have" ambulances. They merely dispatch hospital based - and on occasion - the paying privately contracted BLS providers (eg Fuchs, back in the day).

Bergen County has started an EMS unit similar to other known county systems, they are dispatched by MICCOM (5XX Series) and were operating Monday to Friday 8 to 4, and out the door. this will change or may have changed by the time you read this email to a pitman schedule as they hire more EMTs. They were based out of the Bergen County EMS Training Center (2 Units) in Paramus and services for their ambulances, and maintenance is behind New Bridge Medial Center. Heard last week that they moved their quarters to somewhere in Hackensack but can't confirm. the purpose of this once-failed system is to cover overflow calls in the county (Miccom Decides), seems like leadership there is much stronger so the service may stick this time.

What frequency is MICCOM using to dispatch them?

The same one they've been using for years - 155.175 (patched to NJICS). They are the 53x units.

Maybe so... but that's a system-wide "inconsistency", as their call signs via radio rarely (basically never) line up with the physical truck number. EG: EHMC Truck 2014 could be ALS 213 today and utilized as BLS 232 tomorrow.
