Had an interesting Close Call hit. The 171.4625 NFM P25 activity in my original post of 2/28 was picked up in 2 places was I was out yesterday morning. It's still at the Berkeley County/Jefferson County line on old Route 9 but I also had a hit on Edwin Miller Boulevard in front of the WV SP barracks. 2 federal agencies have offices approximately 1/2 mile east of that location.

Right in close to WIRELESS MICROPHONES. I have the new BCD436HP with Close Call which in learning the scanner I haven't done any CC yet.

171.3250 NFM P25 NAC 301 first posted on 3/01 - During long term monitoring I've heard references to ATC Operations, ATC Security, the welcome center, modular units and the range. Appears to be used by the U.S.Customs and Border Patrol Advanced Training Center located about 20 miles east of my location.

Monitored 166.9125 $4C5 from Harpers Ferry. It was clear/encrypted. Probably National Park Service, but does anyone have anything more specific?

Thanks,
Dave

With the encryption, you'll never have 100% positive ID, but considering the location, frequency and especially the NAC I'm going to add it to the database for NPS Harper's Ferry. Perhaps we can continue listening and see if they go in the clear at all... Good catch!

Were you able to determine if it was simplex or repeater ops?

The frequency wasn't entirely encrypted. I'm not sure it's safe to call it Harpers Ferry, even though that's where I monitored it.

I only heard one or two brief transmissions, so not sure if it's a repeater or simplex.
