Best Streaming Software? What are you using and why?

I'm a new streamer. My feed has only been up for about a month or so. I'm using Scannercast, as it was easy to set-up and seemed to get things rolling right away.

However, it has obvious limitations and I'm wondering what the more experienced users are using. Here is what I would like to see in a streaming/feed app:

1) Ability to see real time indication of audio going out. (A VU-Meter) This would tell me that my audio connection from the scanner to the PC is working.
2) Ability to see the tags going out. (I can't seem to get them to work in Scannercast)

What feeder app are you using and what do you recommend?

I cannot argue with that! Setup was quick and easy and it has most of the features I was looking for. Thanks for the tip.
