Your mission, should you accept it guys, is to monitor the Buncombe County Sheriff's Department and determine if the low power repeaters are used as mobile extenders, or as a sort of relay for the main repeater network, or a new Mobile Data System?. This message will not self destruct so don't run away from your computers! Any help would be appreciated muchly by the admins, and by those of us who have travel plans for that region of WNC. And if you have time see if there are any new ID's for the Asheville TRS. Also if thier is any sign of trunking on the new UHF system for Buncombe.

They are going to a UHF TRS and using Tait radios, which means MPT1327 or LTR. Anyone in the area please let us know anything.

Our current project is to finnish getting the mobile data up for the sheriff dept. After getting the conventional channels set, we are going to be installing a LTR trunk system. Although it looks like that will be atleast another year.
