BCD325P2/BCD996P2: Bit Error Rate

I am having problems getting my BCD996P2 to work properly. I've noticed every time voice starts coming through my signal strength decreases and the bit error rate goes up, and the conversation cuts out. Anybody ever had this issue?

Yes, i presume thats the digital "error rate---- your watching, simulcasting in P25 trunking, weather fronts increasing the signals, leaves on the trees, using a better or some times poorer antenna system ...My attic antennas do better than the tower antennas at times ....P25 digital systems are a test to ones hobby and new scanners have problems with them....
