I'm looking for the correct frequencies and or trunking system for the bland County VA Sheriffs office? I live in Cedar Bluff VA connected by an outdoor antenna on my Whistler TRX2. Thanks

Those are the ones that I have already tried and that aren't working for me. Also, talked to a State employee in Richmond and he says that they are not on STARS

If you look at stars page there is only one county listed. So i doubt they are on there.

As of three years ago they were carry HT1250 portables in VHF according to picture on facebook.

My advice is to observe a patrol vehicle to see what antennas are present. If there is a long whip with a coil at base then they may still be on their low band frequencies.

Also take note as to what the deputies are carrying. I do know down in that area of Va there is use of NXDN with encryption in other counties.

The problem with places like Bland County are that there just are not that many people scanning and updating the database.

If you really want to find what they are using, I would go through the FCC licenses for Bland and program in every frequency that the county is licensed for and start listening. You will eventually find them.

Also that's why i provided some clues to look for. Gotta be a detective sometime. Listen to fire channels when there is an accident you may hear on adjacent channels sheriff traffic.

Don't always trust rr as its hobbiest throwing what they hear into the db. I would go with all the licenses the fcc has for the county and see if anything starts firing. Idk the county or size of the county but they could have very well gone over to full mdt or cell phones.

Start there and filter out anything licensed to Bland County. Anything showing as FB2 is licensed as a repeater, FB is fixed base. I would program in every frequency licensed to Bland County and see what you get, but from Cedar Bluff you more than likely won't hear any simplex or inputs unless they have an incident on top of a mountain.

What is the output power of these frequencies? I'm not receiving them at all? As stated earlier I am receiving West Virginia State Police Princeton WV PD bluefield WV PD Mercer county sheriff's office and McDowell county Sheriff's offices without any issues as well as Fayette Raleigh and Wyoming county sheriff's office frequencies without any issues.

You are likely too far from Bland and too low in elevation to receive their traffic. I'm able to hear it just fine and I'm a bit farther away.

I am exactly one hour from the East River Mountain Tunnel, and I'm connected by an outdoor antenna.

My location has nothing to do with hearing them in the clear. Others have confirmed they can be heard.

I am receiving an S with 2 bars on the East River Mountain Frequency but no audio? I'm thinking packet bursts, but not sure. I have 136.5 as suggested above in previous post. Any help would greatly be appreciated.
