For those of you in southern Cambria or northern Somerset counties, here's some snippets of fire central on 33.700 from the mid 80,s.

Equipment used

This is what I was using back in the 80's when I recorded this.
Scanner: Electra Bearcat BC-200 16 channel desktop programmable.
Antenna: Hy-Gain Penetrator CB antenna, mounted on a 20 ft. pipe.(Great low band antenna)
Cassette recorder: Standard General Electric portable with ac adapter.

I transfered the tape to digital about 4 yrs. ago with a walkman type tape player.

Very cool !! the very first dispatch for Station 27 was yours truly I worked there from 1979 - 1991.

Awesome Dan! I feel like I know you now. That's all I have of fire central. I was recording local Somerset stuff and those got in there. Of course with 5 counties dispatching on 33.700 it was quite busy back then.
