I am from Floyd County, KY and I have been picking up transmissions from Dunbar, WV on my Uniden Bearcat Scanner. It's only dispatch that I pick up, but their page-tones are similar to ours and it gets confusing. Is there any way to stop this or is this a problem with my scanner? I can hear it very clear, even though I have a problem hearing my OWN dispatcher most of the time. If anyone can help, please do. Thanks!

I am sort of a noobie with tones and frequencies... I'm not sure what a CT is. I am a member of a fire department and I am sick of hearing what's going on in West Virginia...lol
Can you give me a step-by-step on what I can do to stop all of this? Thanks again.

I have a Uniden Bearcat. I am with Wayland Volunteer Fire Department (we share talk around frequencies with Garrett Volunteer Fire Department) We are dispatched by Floyd County 911 South Fire (which is the channel that picks up Dunbar, WV's traffic.)

Hi wayland... welcome to rr.com.... what kind of Bearcat do you have.... which freqs do you have entered into your scanner? You'll need a scanner that can receive the PL tones with each of your freqs to keep the cross-talk out of your ears.....
