Bluetooth Transmitter & Earpiece Solution for SDS 100 & 200

Hi fellow scanner friends. I’m looking for a few recommendations for a small Bluetooth transmitter (and earpiece) that I can use plugged into the external speaker jack of the SDS 100 & 200. (A bonus would be if the earpiece is compatible with the Unication G5 built-in Bluetooth).

I used to have a small set (with an earpiece) years ago, but I don’t think they will take a charge anymore (and I’ve misplaced the units and chargers)

I have a few small Bluetooth speakers, but I’m really interested in a new earpiece and transmitter (that might also work with some old BT headphones I have that I use with my iPhone for music.)

Any and all recommendations are appreciated!

I used to have a very small transmitter and an earpiece that worked great, but they are probably over 20 years old and will probably no longer hold a charge.

I also wanted the option to transmit to my BT headphones that were made more for music than voice comms.

I ended up getting the “Trond” model and so far it’s working great with both my BT headphones and BT speaker.

Just got the "Trond" bluetooth transmitter to use with my SDS200. Did it work plugging into the external speaker jack? I got mine plugged into the headphone jack right now.

This is the BT transmitter I have been using for over a year with zero issues

If you decide on something else, make sure it is at least BT 5.2

My previous BT transmitter was 5.0 and it would drop the connection when I was in the basement. This 5.2 transmitter lets me go to the neighbors house across the street before the connection is lost.

I use the headphone jack on the front of my SDS200. The rear jack is monaural.

I got this from ZipScanners and just use my Airpods Pro with it. Works great!
