Boston Fire Ch 3 & 4

Hi, I’ve doubled checked the TGIDs for both the BFD Ch 3 & 4 patches to the P25 system. Ch 1 & 2 works but not 3 or 4. Any thoughts/suggestions?

Channel 3 and 4 don't get used too much. Unless there are multiple incidents at the same time. Channel 4 is used for Subway/Tunnel Underground emergencies.

Thanks. I understand when they’re used. Last night there were 2 fires reported at the same time so they were using 2 & 3 but none of the 3 transmissions were coming through via the P25 system. I was getting them on a different scanner via the analog frequency.

Just to make sure we are all on the same page, you are referencing this system (700 Overlay) when you reference the P25 System

You may want to double check that you did not Lock them out

I would double double check, as I just turned on my 700 overlay and got BFD 3

This may sound silly, but confirm the "Service Type." I've done that a few times where I've entered a new channel and forgot to select the collect service type. If the service type is incorrect and not one of the enabled ones the scanner will ignore it.

Sometimes it seems that there are 100 different reasons a TG or frequency will be ignored by the scanner.
