The Waukesha feeds are only shown when the URL that specifically points to Boston information is backed up a section. If you remove "boston" from the URL then you see it. And only then.

It's still interesting and maybe worth doing that from time to time. Just to see if it's catching on in other areas.

Correct. If one is on a mobile browser, all they need to do is click on the red and blue icon at the top left corner of the page and the two Wisconsin feeds (and presumably any other ones added in the future) show up at the bottom of the list if anyone is interested in checking them out.

It would be interesting to know what Waukesha uses for a delay time as well.

Anyone else having issues with the feed? For some reason the audio won't play.

I kind of like the app I got it here on my phone and Bluetooth it in my car stereo. They added Boston Fire too. All most like having a scanner in the car. ( have one already). Steve

Four or five shootings at the Caribbean Festival isn't all that unusual, but it's a very bad time for the radio system to fail. Not, of course, that there is a good time for that.

No mention of the fact that the city has put in place a new radio system last week. Seems the Channel 1 special ops went down.

Personally, knowing what the Caribbean Festival can turn into after dark, I'd have waited until the end of summer to do the switch over, but that's just me.

It would also be a good idea, in general not specific to this, to have a back up channel pre designated in case of a failure of the system. Fortunately, no one got hurt because of the radio system failure.

Flynn says that he just chaired a hearing on BEMS outdated system and their urgent need to upgrade their equipment...poor chap, should we tell him about BPD's "obsolete" equipment? 🤔

Glad all officers were ok at the end of the day.

BEMS was allocated money at the same time as BPD to upgrade their system. I don't have the contacts there any longer to find out how it's going, but in the past the radio guys consisted of two techs and there was more work than they could handle.

That sounds about the same as everywhere these days, understaffed and overworked..and more often than not, underpaid for doing the work of 3 people.
