I'm really fed up with this pos. It keeps losing connection, and the battery is in it for only about 10 minutes, and the light turns green. Maybe if it was hardwired...

That cleared everything up, makes perfect sense now..
Maybe the battery is fully charged?
That's what the green led signifies.
:alien: Sorry, No RR mind melders are online today. We could use a tad bit more info in order to provide any more useful advice.

Last check my charger was hardwired. IDK

Had my sds100 for around a year, never any issues and using same charger data transfer cable it came with. Never any issues. This seems like a bad wire or operator error.

I put the battery back in the scanner. The voltage was 3.57

Operator error, like what?
Read the quote below

The battery at 3.57 is not charged. Change the wall wart to something different, maybe let it charge on the computer.

Sometimes I turn the scanner off while charging but normally I leave it on so I can record the stuff when I go to sleep.

It could be a bad pack. Contact your dealer.

The charge in the scanner is a good test, too. While charging in the scanner is not desired, in this case the test info would be valuable.

Sounds like you have a battery failing. Just to test this try to charge the battery in the SDS100.
Fully charged battery should 4.20 volts.
For what ever reason most lithium batteries have like 1000 charges this could be partially charges or full charges. This may not be true for these batteries but it seems that way with other batteries to me.

On my SDS100, the internal charger shuts off at 4.25V, and turns back on about a tenth of a volt below that.

Sounds like a bad cell (in this case there is only one cell). I have used Lithium batteries in RC helicopters for years and I run across this from time to time. Most Lithium cells are designed to peak at 4.2V top charge but there are some "HV" versions that can reach a slightly higher peak. At 3.57V there would be very little usable current available.

After reader this i just bought the combo charger and battery. For $69+shipping thats not bad. Now, if I could just get mine back from uniden repair for the infamous cold solder! 30 days is starting to become ridiculous. For the love of Pete..... 2 months in my hand, 1 in Texas. Chop chop, let's go!

4-6 weeks is typical. Also keep in mind the power outages will delay repairs.

I'd do understand. I'm being lite hearted. Called one of you nice ladies today and she was awesome. Asked her to tell mine that I missed it and hope it come home soon. We both had a good laugh. No worries!
