Has anyone ever been able to hear anything when trying to listen to the Braves Development Company? I am curious because i haven't been able to ever hear anything during game days.

The stadium ops were ht based and you had to be right there to monitor that. The battery used a dmr system that was once easy to copy. No signals there now.

I monitor the system when I am at games. You definitely need to be within a mile or two of the stadium, unless you have good elevation (i.e. I can actually hear the system ok from a north facing window in my 29th floor office in midtown Atlanta). I listened to them several times in the last month or so (i.e. this season). I used my SDS100 scanner, which I think is mediocre at best at monitoring a Cap+ system. I think I miss quite a few transmissions, and have always attributed that to poor performance of the scanner on MotoTRBO systems (I have the same mediocre performance on the SDS100 when monitoring the MotoTRBO systems at the ski resorts I visit each winter). But the BDC system is definitely active, and the users are on it.

In terms of history, when the Battery was developed, BDC (i.e. operations outside Truist) used that system while the baseball game (and core Truist - then SunTrust Park) operations used the analog LTR system, I presume using repurposed gear from Turner Field given the Braves were on LTR through closing day at Turner Field. At that time the BDC system used only two frequencies (3 voice paths), given that's all they needed for Battery operations alone. Eventually Braves/Truist radios were replaced with DMR radios, and Braves/Truist operations migrated to the BDC system, and LCNs 3, 4 and 5 were added to the BDC system (these frequencies were taken from the LTR system when it was shut down). I think this occurred before the 2023 season IIRC. Today, BDC and Truist/Braves are all on a 5 frequency Cap+ system as shown in RR.

As mentioned above, I can actually hear the BDC Cap+ system ok from a north facing window in my 29th floor office in midtown Atlanta. Just left the SDS100 on it for an hour or so and heard conversations on Event/Promotions (TG 124), Groundskeepers (TG 109), Special Events (TG 125), Security 1 (TG 101), Engineering (TG 104), Maintenance (TG 116), Battery Security (TG 131), and Battery Maintenance (TG 132). And it's still 5 hours from game time. The system is definitely still in use, for both the Battery and Truist Park operations.

Ran a LCN search on this system last nite and only found one. Either they lowered power or I have a new object blocking the path.
