Hello to all,

I have these radios on while I'm sleeping or just listening during the day. I have them off during work to save batteries lol.... I have the Alinco for City Fire, GP300 for County Fire (main dispatch), pro2055 for county 1 north dispatch, kenwood for city pd, Relm for county 2 south dispatch, Not pictured are pro92, bcd396t, the other kenwood keeping for backup. Hope soon I'll have the bc996t and someone might be intreasted the pro2055. That alarm clock is older than me. It might be like more than 30 years old still works and picks up music too.....

I walked in the room when I got in from town and not even 30 seconds SO is screaming for FD for a fire! It was like 20-25 miles away screw that..

last year i was by outside of essex about 45 min from my house and i hear on my HT in my car that there was a big fire in a recycling plant so i tured the car a round and headed strate for it then i got out and walked as close as i could get. the police stoped me lol but i got a sweet look at what gos on at a call and i heard every thing that was going on on the radio.

I hear ya. I shoot video on and off for the news. I had a few went on tv lol. I seen all kinds of stuff. Today there is a 5 car pile up withn quater of a mile must been bad wreck if 5 cars split up like that. Did the police tell you to leave?

Why would a ham radios/canner have an emergency button?

I think that's the Power Button.

The orange button on the Alinco DJ-X10T is to power up the radio and shut down the radio! That radio does a timer too where I can set the strat time and end time. That is cool radio. Non trunking non digital.

That is the first time someone ask me about that button that is too funny..... That would be kinda stupid have a scanner that a emergency button on it.
