The suspect committed suicide during a standoff with ISP units after they got him stopped at approximately the 62.5 MM EB I-70. Children safe, taken from scene by law enforcement. Managed to get most of the traffic recorded. So many talkgroups, only one computer!

Speaking to some school admin tonight they said damage was minimul and wouldn't affect classes. Only a dryer caught fire. Smoke and water damage was confined to the laundry and custodial room. They said "it was a good test of all the equipment and personell, and the students did a great job in getting out, the plan worked and so did the fire alarm".
The fire dept. was busy as they had just gotten a house fire under control when hit with the school fire.

Thought it was gonna get hairy there with the armed robbery of the 7-11 in Hendrick's Co!

Well, as it turned out, it wasn't a suspect suicide as they originally put it out on the air, but rather a police action shooting. Anybody know what happened with the robbery of the 7-11 in Plainfield?

Tippecanoe County blowing their sirens for the second time in the last 10 minutes - my radar doesnt show much - as usual they just like to hear them blow - they have a very itchy button finger for sure. The idiots are really training people to not listen to them - when its real the community isnt going to believe them!!!

LOL, I was thinking the same thing. Two times I quickly change out of my bachelor attire (so I'd be be presentable enough to go to my apartment building's basement), grab the scanner, and flashlight (just in case) only to have the sirens stop after I'm ready to walk out the door.

I do take the warnings pretty seriously though, because 2 small tornados have went down the road I live on in the past 10 years. Never saw them (night) but experienced the winds and rain and knew something different was up. This time there was nothing simular to the the weather condiions of those 2 close calls.
