Noblesville is a long way from Dekalb County! Talk about a signal 10 run! I've been listening to Point and ILEEN, haven't heard a thing from up that way. Also haven't heard anything on the ISP ERT talkgroups, at least not on the Greenwood SAFE-T site. I'll keep my ears open.

I didn't hear anything on any ERT channels yesterday about any response anywhere at that time, just the normal jibber jabber. I get all the ERT channels here, even South and North.

Something Interesting

The other day I heard IMPD on scene with a body that was found. They had his ID and wallet and somehow the family members found out also.
When I got home and heard they news, they were reporting the find but saying that IMPD wasnt sure on who is was and was waiting on positive ID.
Talk about misleading the public....IMPD should be ashamed of themselves

Just because a wallett is found with a body doesn't mean it's that person. There could be other reasons that IMPD wants to keep quiet on an ID of a dead person, like they were a CI and they don't want to spook the suspect(s) into running. There may have been some closer family that hadn't been notified too. There are a lot of reasons NOT to to ID a body, so don't assume they are misleading the public as there may be good reasons to not release a name.

Sometimes they wait for the official cause of death to release the name of the victim.

You must also remember the things we hear on our scanner aren't always for public knowledge!

This is the reason why IMPD has a PIO (Public Infomation Officer) to due interviews with the NewsMedia when events happen such as this one. Indiana State Police also has a PIO at each post to do on camera inteviews as to what can be released to the general Public.

Well earlier tonight around 7pm I was in Batesville for a football game and heard a dispatch from 30112 on SafeT for a rescue of a 2 year old with it's head stuck in a car speaker.... yes, a car speaker!

Hancock Co and ISP dist 51 responding to a man saying he is going to kill the first LEO that shows up at his residence. He's on medication and apparently took it but still not in his right mind.
They just called a signal 100 on the disp channel, no trffic except that involving the incident.

Subject in custody.... whew that was quick, 10 minutes from call to cuffs.

I'm listening to what is obviously an ISP helicopter speaking back and fourth with someone on the ground on ISP 52 OPS I believe. Not sure if it's a missing person or fugitive hunt, but has been going on the last hour or so.

It may have been a pot sweep too, they have been doing those this past week looking for growers. I think they got a couple in Hancock Co.

1:38am Well apparently after crashing the police car one guy fought with police and then stole a truck and is now on the run again. This is all going on in Franklin Co around US 52 and coming over SafeT on ISP Connorsville.
