Millions of dollars spent on a "statewide" radio system and they still have to bring extra radios to hand out so they can all talk!

Keep in mind that MECA & Hamilton Co are not SAFET capable, MECA will be long before Hamilton Co, but it's another reason the Feds have pushed for P25 interoperability nationwide, this is just a prime example though of the political infighting and the "I wannabe different" attitude, especially in Hamilton Co who's officials do not care if they waste taxpayer $$, which they have done since putting in that EDACS system that has plagued the county with poor performance.

Large gas main break in Pendleton. Madison Co EMA called out to assist with traffic. Not sure if or how this is affecting the Pendleton Correctional Facility.

Same thing here in Michigan, We have the same problem here, Niles City Police Department, Dowagiac City Police Department, Cass County Sheriff Department(Mi.), all the Fire Departments in Cass County, Most of the Fire Departments in Berrien County, etc and etc don't have the Money to buy and installed the radios to be on the
New Expense Michigan system! So they aren't on the system!

Money isn't the issue, Hamilton Co has the richest people in the state living there and they pay a ton of property taxes and payroll taxes to give emergency services anything they want or need, the problem is politics and the attitude that they want to be diffierent and who gives a crap about their neighbors, we take care of our own, that is until they DO need mutual aid and then there is no communications.

I think Carmel, Hamilton Co, and Noblesville need to fire their communications directors and get some people in their to change things and get on the SAFET system where all agencies in and out of the county can work together. If it takes voting them out then do it!

Indianapolis - Two railroad employees were injured when a a number of "runaway" cars collided with a freight train near Rockville Road and Girls School Road early Sunday morning.

One of the two employees was trapped in the locomotive for nearly an hour.

The freight train was traveling from Buffalo, New York to the Avon yards west of Indianapolis.

More than thirty cars derailed as a result of the accident.

Emergency responders were concerned that some of the train's cargo may have been hazardous but later determine there was no threat and told residents in the area they were free to go outside or stay in their homes.

No word yet on the extent of the train crew's injuries.

I don't yet have a digital scanner, so could someone help me out? I heard on the way home a whole lot of dispatches to the retention pond in front of wal mart at thompson/emerson, so I looked over as I was going down 465 and there were lots of lights. anyone know what happened? There was an unusually high amount of gear there Thanks! Eric

The fire dept would have been on 154.1300, and ambulance would have been Yellow. Basically the State is the only using Safe-T full time. Floyd County is LTR, but plugging in the frequncies would get you most of the traffic as they only trunk on one for the most part.

Yellow has contract for Harrison also? I thought they(Harrison County) had their own EMS. See what little I know about Indiana....LOL...

Is the 154.130 repeated? Duh....I guess I could check the database...
