Not sure how often this happens but on Sunday there was a 737 that had to land at Purdue Airport due to low fuel. Safe landing ofcourse...

Perla Hernandez, 14 yearold Hispanic female. She's 5 feet 3 inches tall, and weighs 105 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen at approximately 5:00 PM, May 1, 2006 at 700 East Old Highway 51, Wheatland, Indiana, and is believed to be in extreme danger. No further description is available at this time.
The suspect is Anita Hernandez. Anita Hernandez is 45 years old and described as 5 feet 4 inches tall and 200 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. At approximately 3:30 to 4:00 PM on May 1, 2006, Anita L.C. Hernandez, step-mother of Perla Hernandez, took Perla without permission of the father. Perla H ernandez was taken from the home of individuals she was staying with in Knox County, Indiana. Anita L.C. Hernandez is believed to be enroute to Mexico with Perla Hernandez.
The suspect vehicle is a tan 2006 Nissan Maxima four door with Indian license plate number 49C3885.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Knox County Sheriff's Department at 1-888-58AMBER (888) 582-6237, or dial 911.

A woman police say abducted her step-daughter, speaks to Action 10 News about the allegations.
Anita Hernandez is accused of taking her 14 year old step-daughter Perla Hernandez.
Police issued an amber alert for Perla Tuesday morning. They say Perla was taken by Anita Hernandez, without her father's permission.
Anita has been calling our newsroom since Wednesday afternoon, telling her side of the story. She's says she took Perla, along with her father-in-law, to Mexico, and that they're all okay. Anita claims the trip south was a plan Perla's father not only knew about, but also approved of.
She spoke to us earlier today by phone saying, "This was a decision that our family made. It's a family decision. It was a misunderstanding. My husband had called and tried to tell them to stop it, to let me get her into school. You know, I had to leave my father-in-law at the bus station. I wasn't able to continue on and get him where he needed to be. I had to send him alone."

Some bad news A man was working on a bridge and fell 25ft and hit concert. Last I heard he was unconscious. They shut down I-69 to fly in Samaritan. Samaritan is gone but didn't hear the report on him.

Large Fire in Tipton County
Fire was located west of 900 West on 400 North. I am not sure of the source of the fire because we could not get close enough. It was a very large fueled fire. We could see the flames over three miles away. (it's pretty flat in Tipton county) There were five or six tanker trucks and at least six fire trucks along with several other emergency vehicles. It appeared that the fire was located right outside some woods but not near any structure that I could see. I was thinking it could possibly be a plane crash but it burned well over 1 1/2 hours before it was smoldering white smoke when we finally took a drive out to it.
Does anyone know what was on fire? Was it a structure or something else? What ever it was it had a lot of available fuel to burn that long.

Sounds like a total fail-safe on the Tippecanoe Co System. Switch to State Back Up on the Safe-T dist 14 tower.
During today's failure on the Tippecanoe Co System. Wea VFD was dispatched to a house fire caused by lightening. As the Co system came on line the Fire Fighters were still on VHF and State Back up with a "Rush" Call for a fireman down in the basement. We now have a funnel on the ground at West Point moving East. The ambulance dispatched to the fireman down call is now stuck in the mud. Can anything else go wrong at once?
