Update,
IMPD officer Jason Fishburn 29 suffered a gunshot wound to the head and torso and is in surgery at Wishard. Officer Fishburn was trying to aprehend a murder suspect who had beaten a 69 year old man to death earlier in the week. The suspect was also wounded in an exchange of gunfire with police.

It’s really a shame that the wounds in this situation aren't turned the other way. It should be the perpetrator that was hit in the chest and head and Officer Fishburn in the shoulder.

I sure am hoping that Officer Fishburn makes a miraculous recovery. He, his family, and his brother & sister officers are in my thoughts.

An Anderson man is trapped in a 15-foot hole on St. Charles Street west of Scatterfield Road. According to The Herald Bulletin reporter at the scene, the man is alive and standing in the hole. The reporter received her information from Amos Cooley, assistant deputy chief at the Anderson Fire Department. I heard something going on in Anderson but at the same time Henry Co deputies were trying to catch a guy who threatened them with a "long gun" and Hancock Co deputies were responding to assist in the manhunt.

I doubt the manhunt has to do with the body found in Elwood though, New Castle is bit far off for them to be related but you never know. There sure is a lot of activity in Central In lately though with all the killings and so forth.

Great news! IMPD officer jason Fishburn is improving after he was shot last week. This is amazing considering his wounds to his head and abdomin. The news stated tonight that he was grasping family members hands and knows they are there. He's also out of the induced coma.
It's great to hear he is improving!
