Thought I smelled it on the way home from Whiting going up 539. Was getting a slight haze driving.

On VHF repeater? VHF simplex? NJICS?

95% of NJFFS communications is still VHF. (Check the RR NJ wiki page) Both repeater and simplex. The other 5% is on NJICS which is higher ranking NJFFS staff/wardens and is rarely used.
