i have a question does anyone know about the BRIDGECOM BCM 22O
Radio a friend checked it out on a service montor everything checks out.
the radio has like 10 hours in the shack
using a diacone antenna into 9913 belden cable to a antenna switch info the shack.
dkiamond try band verical on the car on a diamond mount.
in the shack i'm using a browning mag mount with the LMO on the car and the bench
the radio will hear ok the Pl tones are good but the TX is Not working right
have the software from the factory installed in my laptop.

pardon the spelling have ADD/learning disabiled
have HaM ticket since 1994 general since 2007
had been playing with wlectronics since age 10


the rig is stock no mods love the rig well
built and layed out comgtrol wise

Need more info. What do you mean 'not working right'?

I got stuck with a couple of UHF versions of those being used at a remote site. I've been maintaining them for a few years. If you can give me some more details about what it's doing/not doing, I might be able to help.

what it will not open the radio with voice traffic
one of the programmed channels show yellow and if i press monitor
i can hear traffic on voice and while i press monitor i can transmit
and they can hear me.

and do you know anything about the software and windows 10
says something a com port, the software is installed in the computer but it will not open up
and someone could walk me through it

And you tell you if you know someone can program the MDS 2000 mobile radio from Motorola
it an 800 mobile mod for 900 MHz Ham service it 's analog radio
not sure if it's the 10 or 35 watt flavor stock mike and pigtail.

think it set up for Nor calfornia 900 Mhz repeater network
lost a ham name in san jose area who was going out checked it out and program it

i've got around 165-170.00 In to it.

Sounds like either the CTCSS/DCS tone is set incorrectly in the repeater or in your radio.
Can others use the repeater, or are they all having the exact same issue?

My programming laptop is at work, so I can't check.
I'm using it on Windows 7.
You need to make sure you are selecting the correct Comm port. You may have to go into the Device Manager, or whatever they call it in Windows 10 and see which Comm port the USB programming cable is on.

Right click on Start icon, choose "Device Manager" from the drop-down list. Easy peasy!

I have the BCM-220 and the BCH-220 handheld. Both have worked well for several years. The programing software runs under Windows 10 without a problem on my computer. The radio can be set to both encode and decode PL. Not all ham repeaters have PL on their outputs. I suggest that you program the radio to encode only. This will eliminate receive problems.

The folks at Bridgecom have been quite helpful in the past. I've bought both ham and commercial DMR radios from them. I suggest that you give them a call and explain your situation. I think they will give you the help you need. It sounds like there are some programming issues.

Did you buy the radio new? Maybe you need to do a reset and get rid of old programming and start fresh.
