There's NO WAY you are picking up the NJICS system on a Pro-106 or 396T. Absolutely no way. I guarantee it. Post a link to a youtube video of it working. I'd love to see this...

The Delaware River Region talkgroups have been coming over as regular P25 (Not TDMA Phase 2). Any P25 scanner will receive those).

I hate to tell you this, but I did pick up a partial transmition from Bridgeton police on the NJICS system with my pro-106 and I have video proof!!!!
I will up load it to my YouTube account
I think I'm too far because I'm only getting a 32% on signal strength.

Bridgeton is using one of the Delaware Valley Inter-op talkgroups which are P25 Phase I. This is temporary.
I am sure when they finally get their own talk group, it would be Phase II like the other local PD on the system use (EX. Middle Twp. PD in CMC).

And again I feel like a broken record here..... It's not the system that is crap, it's the scanner! Scanners cannot handle the Linear Simulcast Modulation (LSM) properly.

The cheapest solution to the LSM issue is to create a bootable USB drive with Gnuradio and install OP25. Then buy a cheap Nooelec SDR and use OP25 to monitor. Unfortunately I could not get the Airspy to run in the environment. This method picks up LSM perfectly. See the following 2 threads:

http://forums.radioreference.com/so...e-op25-usb-boot-drive-persistent-storage.html

http://forums.radioreference.com/so...-virtualbox-project-run-op25-windows-7-a.html

The only other option is to use a real radio programmed RX only to monitor. The only 2 that do not require a system key for RX are the Relm Wireless or certain Harris models. With the Harris you have to be careful of the firmware version that's in the radio and RPM version that is used to program it. And be prepared to spend upwards of $1400 or more.

FYI: While in Atlantic City today I picked up TG 4191 off the Hammonton tower. Based on street names
I believe it was Bridgeton.

Joe,

Thanks for pointing the USB link out. I hadn't considered using a SDR for this. I'm up and running but till trying to figure out all the settings. I'm mostly hearing Bridgeton on 4191 and NJT traffic on 3731. I left the modulation out of my trunk.tsv file. Seems like I hear more traffic that way. For example, things are silent if I use TDMA. But I need more listening and play time.

Where and How can I get a Harris XG-75P RX only Radio? I understand it might cost $1400.00 maybe more, i would just like to know where to purchase one... Thank you.....

Where and How can I get a Harris XG-75P RX only Radio? I understand it might cost $1400.00 maybe more, i would just like to know where to purchase one... Thank you.....

********UPDATE*******
bridgeton PD is now on NJICS system talk group 4531 and 4533.
They are P25-Phase2 TDMA
Just heard them on my BCD436HP, but didn't hear them on my Pro106 or my Pro 97....

Considering the Pro-106 won't do Phase-II & the 97 won't do digital at all, I'm not sure what the point of this post is. Those talkgroups have also been in the DB for over a week as well...
