I have Bristol, CT programmed into my 396t. I receive the fire and ems comms with no problem but the PD comms have been silent. I reprogrammed recently with most up to date info several times several ways and nothing ! I must be doing it wrong if anyone has any suggestions? I don't think they're encrypted. As always any help is appreciated. Thanks...Nitetrain

Yep Last I have heard Bristol PD is encrypted been that way for a long time

Awasser1 , thanks for the info. I had no idea they were encrypted. Atleast my programming was good to go. .... Nitetrain

I can confirm they are encrypted. If you listen to the talk group all you hear is data. I do have all the other talkgroups streaming on my feed if you want though.

do you hear the fd at all-i go to my aunts in bristol and have their system programmed but it seems like the fd doesnt talk-its quiet and i know ihave it programmed right i have the same scanner as you thanks

firerick100... I believe I was getting the ems and fd comms just fine. it's been a little while since I've been back in the area though. I'll pay a little more attention to the fd next time and let you know if I notice anything different. Nitetrain
