Was wondering if we could use the calls platform to identify unknown talkgroups rather than over the air monitoring. Thanks

Sure can! It's a great use case for BCFY Calls

The only caveat I would add is to take as large a sampling as possible when researching this way before drawing any conclusions. From time to time, a bad decode with the software may lead to a false indication. I've seen it myself on Calls nodes I host, even with really solid decoding every once in a while something weird pops up that doesn't match reality, so I would definitely not rely on one or two hits to make an identification.
