I have recently put 5 departments on Zello so I took the RX audio and have also piped it to Broadcastify for your listening pleasure.
I added

Milford Fire
New Haven Fire
New Haven police
Shelton Fire
West Haven Fire

You can get his feeds on Broadcastify. There are matching feeds on Broadcastify. So I assume that they are the ones he piped over for our listening pleasure.

I have access to a waterbury police and fire zello that is also private.

I could do a Waterbury FD/PD Zello (With some help LOL) from where I am but the Dispatch side is so much louder than the cars and trucks it would be annoying...Maybe someday someone at Dispatch will do a tiny bit of work to level it out...Yes you can do it with the headset settings

I have added Seymour FD to Broadcastify ( I just use the zello audio)
I can't comment on the Waterbury system as I work there
But you are correct it can be better with very little work
